PUMA Turbo Pack: ULTRA 1.1 and FUTURE 6.1 Go Full Speed
PUMA’s Turbo Pack brought a racing-inspired black and pink makeover to the ULTRA 1.1 and FUTURE 6.1 football boots, combining lightweight speed with control and agility.
October 2020 — Just when footballers thought they couldn’t get any faster, PUMA shifted up another gear with the Turbo Pack, introducing special editions of the ULTRA 1.1 and FUTURE 6.1.
Inspired by the smoke and dust left behind on racetracks, the collection arrived in an eye-catching pink and black colourway designed to represent speed, acceleration and high-performance football.
The pack was officially released on 20 October 2020, with the two boots taking different approaches to PUMA’s speed and agility categories.
PUMA Turbo Pack
The Turbo Pack was built around the idea of full-throttle football.
Both boots featured the same bold colour concept, but PUMA used it differently across the two models.
The ULTRA 1.1 was predominantly black with pink detailing, while the FUTURE 6.1 made a much bigger statement with a predominantly luminous pink upper and black accents.
The result was one of PUMA’s most striking football boot packs of the 2020/21 season.
PUMA ULTRA 1.1 Turbo Pack
The ULTRA 1.1 was designed for players who wanted explosive speed without sacrificing touch and control.
Its extremely lightweight MATRYXEVO upper was engineered to provide support while keeping the boot close to the foot.
PUMA combined the upper with a lightweight PEBA SpeedUnit outsole, using a split-sole design inspired by the brand’s running-spike technology.

One of the defining elements of the FUTURE 6.1 was its NETFIT lacing system.
NETFIT allowed players to customise where the laces were positioned, giving them different options for fit and lockdown.

The FUTURE 6.1 also used PUMA’s RAPIDAGILITY soleplate, combining conical and bladed studs to support multidirectional movement and traction.
A Very Different Look
The two Turbo Pack boots were deliberately different visually.
The ULTRA 1.1 featured a predominantly black upper with pink details, creating a more aggressive and streamlined appearance.
The FUTURE 6.1, meanwhile, went almost completely in the opposite direction, using luminous pink as the dominant colour with black appearing mainly on the soleplate and selected details.
The contrast made the two boots easy to distinguish while keeping them connected as part of the same collection.
Griezmann and Suárez Lead the Turbo Pack
PUMA’s two attacking football stars helped bring the Turbo Pack to the pitch.
Antoine Griezmann was associated with the ULTRA 1.1, matching the boot’s emphasis on speed.
Luis Suárez was linked with the FUTURE 6.1, with the striker’s attacking and creative style fitting the boot’s focus on agility and multidirectional movement.
The boots were expected to make their competitive appearances as European club football returned to Champions League and Europa League action that week.
