Christmas Care: Empowering Parents for Children’s Health and Development

Christmas Care: supporting Children, Health & Development

“When you learn, teach. When you get, give.” – Maya Angelou

Hamba Bamba Funda (HBF) proudly hosted its inaugural Christmas Care event, a heartfelt celebration of community, health, and development for young children and their families. Held at the Meadowlands Welfare Centre in Soweto, this special day brought together 200 mothers and 200 babies for an impactful experience focused on early childhood development, maternal support, and festive giving.

This meaningful event was made possible through the support and collaboration of the City of Johannesburg, Department of Health, Social Development, and Environmental Health. With the generous contribution of Bundle Media, each family in attendance received a beautifully curated Christmas gift box—filling hearts and homes with joy.

A Day of Learning, Love, and Community

The Christmas Care event was thoughtfully designed to empower parents with practical tools and insights for raising healthy, happy children. The programme featured expert talks, interactive workshops, and heartfelt moments of celebration.
