Doja Cat Paints the Town 'Scarlet' With New Album: Stream It Now

After months of anticipation and a series of teasers, Doja Cat, the Grammy-winning artist known for her genre-blending style, has officially unveiled her highly-awaited fourth studio album, "Scarlet," on September 22, 2023. This release has been a hot topic among fans and music enthusiasts, and it promises to deliver a unique and thrilling experience.

Doja Cat set the stage for "Scarlet" with the release of "Attention" back in June, a hip-hop track that showcased her impressive rapping skills. The song quickly made its mark on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 31, and its music video, which offered a glimpse into the album's horror-themed aesthetic, earned six nominations and won the Best Art Direction award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

Following "Attention," "Paint the Town Red" arrived as the album's first radio single, featuring a catchy hook and a vibrant beat sampling Dionne Warwick. It soared to the top of the Hot 100, making it Doja's second No. 1 hit, and notably, the first hip-hop song to achieve this feat in 2023.

As a promotional lead-up to the album, Doja treated fans to "Demons," a punk-rap track accompanied by a music video starring Emmy-nominated actress Christina Ricci, and "Balut," a nod to Ric Flair with its title. Additionally, eerie and blood-covered life-sized mannequins resembling Doja herself mysteriously appeared in major U.S. cities in the weeks preceding the album drop, further building anticipation for the release.

"Scarlet" presents a tracklist without any featured artists, allowing Doja's unique talent to shine through. The album boasts eye-catching titles such as "Wet Vagina," "Skull and Bones," and "F—k the Girls (FTG)." The standard edition includes 15 tracks, while digital versions feature two additional songs: "Shutcho" and "WYM Freestyle."

To support the album, Doja Cat will embark on The Scarlet Tour, a 24-date journey that begins on Halloween at San Francisco's Chase Center and takes her to major cities across the United States before concluding at Chicago's United Center on December 13. Opening acts for the tour will include Ice Spice and "What It Is (Block Boy)" rapper Doechii.

"Scarlet" is the much-anticipated follow-up to Doja Cat's 2021 album "Planet Her," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced a string of Hot 100 hits, including the chart-topping "Kiss Me More" with SZA, "Woman," "Need to Know," "You Right" featuring The Weeknd, and "Get Into It (Yuh)."

Music enthusiasts and Doja Cat fans alike can now immerse themselves in the world of "Scarlet." Stream the album and get ready for a musical journey like no other. ???????? #DojaCat #Scarlet #NewMusic #MusicRelease #TheScarletTour
