G-STAR taps KNWLS for the second chapter of THE DENIM
Launching a pair of limited-edition, low-rise jeans with motorcycle influences
G-STAR introduces the second edition of THE DENIM, a series where creativity meets craftsmanship, pushing denim design to new heights. Each edition uses denim as a canvas for research and creative exploration, joining forces with emerging designers to create one pair of limited-edition jeans. Following the debut with Ottolinger, THE DENIM now continues with British design duo KNWLS.
THE DENIM 002
Designed by South London-based womenswear brand KNWLS, THE DENIM 002 is a low-rise straight-leg jean. Following the body's natural shape, this limited-edition jean is constructed according to G-STAR's signature anatomic principles, paired with an extreme specially-developed wash. Other standout details feature external binding, back zips to create a bootcut leg, adjustable waist buckles, and motorcycle-inspired seams.

Disruptive femininity
KNWLS is a womenswear label founded in 2017 by Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault. Hailing from the UK and Canada respectively, the two met while studying at Central Saint Martins, and launched the brand after graduation.
Since its inception, KNWLS has garnered critical acclaim thanks to subversive designs, seen in now-signature codes like structured corsetry, raw textures, and layered silhouettes. The brand also secured a finalist spot in the 2022 LVMH Prize and admiration by cultural trailblazers, from Dua Lipa to Doja Cat. Today, the label continues to redefine the codes of sensuality and femininity.

THE DENIM 002 will be available globally on g-star.com and knwls.com and selected G-STAR stores with a price point of 220 Euros.
