Jill Scott South Africa shows cancelled, Fans to Get Refunds

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Jill Scott’s planned South African concerts in Pretoria and Cape Town have been cancelled, promoter Showtime Management has confirmed.

The Grammy-winning singer was scheduled to bring her To Whom This May Concern World Tour to SunBet Arena, Time Square, in Pretoria and Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town in November 2026.

In a notice published on its official website, Showtime Management cited unforeseen circumstances and apologised to fans who had been looking forward to the performances.

The promoter says all ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund, with payments expected to take between five and 10 business days to reflect in the original payment account.

Jill Scott South Africa Tour 2026: What Happened?

The cancelled shows were part of Scott’s international To Whom This May Concern World Tour, supporting her album of the same name.

The South African dates were promoted as two arena performances:

  • Pretoria: SunBet Arena, Time Square.
  • Cape Town: Grand Arena, GrandWest.

Showtime Management has confirmed that both concerts will not proceed as planned. The promoter says Scott and her team are exploring the possibility of returning to South Africa at a future date, but no replacement performances have been announced.

There is a discrepancy in the published Pretoria date. Showtime’s cancellation notice refers to 4 November, while the original event listing showed 7 November 2026. The Cape Town concert was scheduled for 11 November.

How Will Ticket Refunds Work?

Showtime Management says ticket holders do not need to submit a separate refund request. Full refunds are being processed automatically and may take five to 10 business days to reflect in the original payment account.

If the original payment details are no longer valid, Ticketmaster will contact affected customers directly with further instructions.

Fans should monitor their email for updates and refer to Showtime Management’s official announcement if they need to check the refund arrangements.

Could Jill Scott Return to South Africa?

Although the November concerts have been cancelled, Showtime Management says Scott and her team are exploring the possibility of a future return.

No new dates have been confirmed.

The cancellation is disappointing news for South African fans of the singer, whose catalogue includes popular songs such as “Golden”, “A Long Walk” and “He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat)”. Scott has built a following through her blend of R&B, neo-soul, jazz and spoken word.

For now, fans should wait for an official announcement before making plans around any possible rescheduled performances.
