An Evening Built Around R&B
This isn’t the kind of show you rush through.
Expect the focus to be on the music — powerful vocals, live instrumentation, romantic ballads and the songs that have kept Lattimore’s catalogue in rotation for decades.
It’s the sort of concert where the classics do the heavy lifting.
No gimmicks. No nostalgia for nostalgia’s sake.
Just R&B.
Kenny Lattimore’s South African Return
Lattimore’s return gives Cape Town another opportunity to experience an artist whose career has stretched across multiple generations of R&B.
His music has always occupied that space between soul, gospel, jazz and contemporary R&B, with his voice carrying the emotional weight of the songs.
For longtime fans, it’s a chance to revisit records that have soundtracked relationships, weddings, slow dances and late-night drives.
For a younger audience discovering his catalogue now, it’s an introduction to a different era of R&B — one where the vocal performance was everything.
This Weekend in Cape Town
