OFF-WHITE MASQUERADE BRINGS MUSIC, FASHION AND CULINARY CULTURE TO LIFE IN JOHANNESBURG
An afternoon of fashion, jazz, elevated hospitality and immersive brand experiences brought Johannesburg’s creative and lifestyle communities together at Pere House.
JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Johannesburg’s cultural and lifestyle scene came together for OFF-WHITE Masquerade, an immersive outdoor experience celebrating the intersection of fashion, music, culinary culture and elevated hospitality.
Set against the picturesque surroundings of Pere House in Midrand, the event brought together guests, creatives, entrepreneurs, tastemakers and music enthusiasts for an afternoon that unfolded into an evening of live entertainment, distinctive experiences and meaningful social connections.
The experience opened with a fashion showcase curated by Malwandle’s House, featuring two South African designers: Lindani Styling and NIM Couture. Each designer brought their own creative perspective to the showcase, setting the tone for an event that placed local fashion, individuality and artistic expression at the forefront. The runway presentation provided a platform to celebrate South African design while introducing guests to the creativity and craftsmanship shaping the local fashion landscape.

As the afternoon progressed, the atmosphere shifted towards the sounds of alternative jazz. With the sun setting over Pere House, guests were treated to an evocative musical experience, as the golden-hour setting provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of soulful performances, rich instrumentation and curated sounds. The transition from fashion to live music created a natural rhythm to the occasion, allowing guests to settle into the experience and enjoy the atmosphere.
Beyond the runway and music, OFF-WHITE Masquerade placed a strong emphasis on hospitality and carefully curated brand experiences, with sponsors playing an integral role in shaping the guest experience.
An exclusive VIP lounge was designed around the event’s off-white aesthetic. Featuring beautiful draping, elegant off-white couches and a dedicated food and cocktail offering, the space provided an intimate hospitality setting for guests to relax, connect and enjoy the occasion. It brought together the sophistication of premium luxury with the distinctive visual identity of OFF-WHITE Masquerade.
Bespoke activations further enhanced the event’s culinary and social offering. A dedicated pop-up stand invited guests to explore and enjoy a selection of wines through a curated tasting experience. An on-site massage experience offered guests an opportunity to unwind in a relaxed environment, complemented by delicious cocktails, premium music and a tranquil setting.
From the fashion showcase and sunset jazz performances to the thoughtfully designed hospitality spaces and sponsor activations, every element contributed to an experience that brought together different expressions of South African culture and lifestyle.

Founded by Dr Fikile Tsela and Judah Ngwenya, OFF-WHITE Masquerade was created with a vision to establish more than an annual gathering. It aims to become a platform where culture, creativity, business and lifestyle converge, encouraging collaboration between artists, brands, entrepreneurs and audiences while creating opportunities for the broader creative economy.
The event reflected this vision by bringing together fashion designers, musicians, hospitality partners and brands within one shared environment, demonstrating the possibilities that emerge when creative industries connect.
OFF-WHITE Masquerade leaves behind a celebration of local talent, meaningful partnerships and the power of shared experiences. With its distinctive blend of fashion, music, food and hospitality, the event continues to build its identity as a lifestyle and cultural platform within Johannesburg’s evolving events landscape.
