PUMA AND DAPPER DAN’S LATEST COLLABORATION CAPTURES THE ENERGY OF A HARLEM BLOCK PARTY
South Africa, 11 September 2023 – PUMA and Dapper Dan continue their collaboration,
exploring the codes of sportswear, luxury, and hip-hop. The latest drop of the partnership
endeavors to captivate the energy and magic of Harlem’s iconic block parties.
Including designs for both men and women, the PUMA x Dapper Dan collection elevates the
energy and the vibrance of Dapper Dan’s radically unique designs. The collaboration makes use
of specially curated logos and motifs throughout, nodding to Dan’s love for haute couture
monograms. The range is centered around a look that is considered synonymous with the
Harlem-born designer - the tracksuit. A remix of the B-boy uniform that was born and
popularized in New York City, Dan’s signature take on the PUMA T7 Tracksuit comprises the T7
Jacket and T7 Pants, both embellished with a custom pattern created by Dapper Dan and
PUMA, elevated with a special “DDP” badge.

For men, Mesh Shorts and Graphic T-shirts are also imagined through the curatorial lens of
Dapper Dan, while women’s offerings include a Cropped Polo, Shorts, and hooded Summer
Jacket, all making use of PUMA and Dapper Dan’s custom monogram-inspired pattern.
The apparel in the PUMA x Dapper Dan collaboration will be available from 30 September 2023,
from PUMA.com and Al Capone.
Dapper Dan needs no introduction. He brought luxury to hip-hop in an authentic and revolutionary way no
other brand could and has continued to inspire fashion for over four decades. Harlem's greatest globe
trotter, tailor to the biggest movers and shakers in culture, inventor of the streetwear luxury crossover,
and couturier to the stars, Dapper Dan is all that, and more.

A hip-hop and streetwear culture hall of famer, Dapper Dan began his journey in the early '80s creating
bespoke tracksuits and accessories crafted from leather adorned with the monograms of the world's
leading luxury houses. Dapper Dan's Boutique quickly became the go-to stop for Eric B. & Rakim, Salt-N-
Pepa, LL Cool J, and Jay-Z. It was only recently that Dan started getting the credit he deserved starting
with a line for Gucci in 2017, then beginning his journey with PUMA in 2022.
