Rosebank Mall’s Pink Run eyes record 3 500 runners turnout and R100 000 fundraising goal
What started with around 900 people in 2023 has grown into a Rosebank fixture that now brings thousands of Joburgers together for one morning, one 5km route and one shared purpose.
Rosebank Mall’s annual Pink Run returns on Saturday, 24 October at 7am, and tickets are officially on sale. After attracting 3 100 participants last year and raising R66 000 for CANSA, the mall is aiming even higher in 2026: 3 500 participants and R100 000 for this year’s beneficiary, breast health organisation I Love Boobies. That means another 400 people on the start line could help push the event towards its biggest fundraising result yet.
Adults can enter for R100 and children for R80, with a portion of every ticket sold going to I Love Boobies. Anyone who wants to contribute more can make an additional donation when booking, giving participants a simple way to add to the final fundraising total before they have even reached the start line.

The 5km Pink Run also gives Rosebank Mall an opportunity to keep breast cancer awareness visible and to recognise the many people and families whose lives have been touched by the illness. By bringing thousands of people together in support of breast health, the event creates space for conversation, awareness and practical support, while helping I Love Boobies reach more women through the work they do.
For Rosebank Mall, the growth of the Pink Run has become one of the most rewarding parts of the event. “We have watched this grow from around 900 people in 2023 into an event that 3 100 people supported last year, and that says a great deal about the generosity of our community,” says Angelisa Gengan, Marketing Manager of Rosebank Mall. “Seeing so many people arrive in pink, ready to take part and support the cause, is what makes this event so special to us. This year the goal is to build on that support and raise R100 000 for I Love Boobies.”
As a community it is possible to fill Rosebank with as much pink as possible and turn every ticket into part of the fundraising effort.
There is also a R25 000 incentive waiting for one ticket holder. Everyone who books a Pink Run ticket will automatically go into the draw to win an experience for a family of four at The Hyde Rosebank. The prize includes a two-night weekend stay in a Platinum Double Room for two adults and two children, breakfast and a R1 000 dinner voucher at Proud Mary, valid until 31 December 2026.
The 5km event is built around participation, which means runners, walkers, families, friendship groups and colleagues can all take part. For those who have returned year after year, 2026 offers the chance to help the Pink Run reach another milestone. For first-timers, it is an easy way to join a community event where showing up has a measurable result.
With 3 500 places to fill and R100 000 to raise, Rosebank Mall is now calling on Joburg to help write the next chapter of the Pink Run story.
Tickets cost R100 for adults and R80 for children and are available now at:
