Spotify Launches “Living With Spotify” Starring King Grrrr

Johannesburg, South Africa – 05 March 2026 – Spotify has teamed up with popular content creator Kamogelo Motlhabane, known to her audience as King Grrrr, to launch Living With Spotify, an eight-episode digital series that reimagines Spotify’s features as full-blown personalities. The short-form series (30–60 seconds per episode) drops on TikTok and Instagram each Thursday for the next 8 weeks, serving parody, pop culture and sharp humour.

At its core, Living With Spotify flips the script on reality TV. Instead of housemates, Kamo lives with her Spotify features – each one personified, opinionated, and deeply invested in her life choices. From work stress and creative blocks to full-blown identity spirals, her “council” of features steps in with Spotify-style solutions to real-world chaos.

The series extends from Kamo vs Spotify, an existing Spotify digital series she hosts, building on a format audiences already know and love.

Meet the cast (yes, they’re all Spotify features)

Kamo takes on every role herself, embodying a lineup of exaggerated Spotify personalities:

  • Discover Weekly – The explorer: The friend who insists you “just try something new” in music and in life.
  • AI DJ – The mood manager: Talkative, confident, and slightly dramatic, curating soundtracks with real-time commentary.
  • Mixed Playlist – The ride-or-die: Comfort-first and loyal to your phases. She knows your patterns better than you do.
  • daylist – The archivists: A nostalgic and slightly shady duo, who are receipts in human form.
  • Audiobooks – The new girl in town: She’s the new girl who really, really wants to tell you her story.
  • Listening stats – The blunt truth: The blunt, nerdy friend who knows everything about you.
  • Offline listening – The Zen master: The friend who is always taking time for herself. She’s Zen, chilled, and you’ll find her in the woods, not online.
  • Collaborative – The core connector: She keeps the friend group connected; the heart and core they can’t live without.

The first episode goes live tonight at 18:00. Click here to watch the teaser Living With Spotify.
