BOK PROP BOAN VENTER JOINS PUMA RUGBY FAMILY

Cape Town, South Africa – 17 July 2026 – Springbok loosehead prop Boan Venter has signed with PUMA South Africa and will play in the brand’s Avant Pro II technical rugby boot, developed specifically for tight five players.

Venter, who has been named in the South African Nations Championship squad for matches against England, Scotland and Wales in July, joins a growing PUMA rugby family that includes fellow Springboks Canan Moodie and Elrigh Louw.

At 29, Venter is considered a late bloomer in international rugby. Since making his Springbok debut just a year ago, he has already accumulated several career-defining moments, including scoring a Test try and helping South Africa secure victories against France in Paris and Ireland in Dublin.

Born in Kimberley, Venter recently returned to South Africa and is set to represent the Lions after spending several seasons in Scotland with Edinburgh Rugby, where he earned more than 100 caps. Renowned for his powerful ball-carrying ability and dominance in the set pieces, Venter also boasts an impressive scoring record, becoming the first Edinburgh prop to register a hat-trick in a single match and crossing the try line on his Springbok debut.
