Drake ICEMAN Streaming Numbers: Spotify, Apple Music & Billboard Records Broken (2026)

Drake’s surprise triple album drop broke Spotify records in May 2026. ICEMAN pulled 140.2 million streams on day one. Full streaming stats, chart performance, and global impact inside.

The 6God Strikes Again

On May 15, 2026, Drake did what only Drake could do. He dropped three surprise albums in a single day—ICEMANMaid of Honour, and Habibti—and promptly broke the internet.

The move caused Spotify and Apple Music to crash briefly, as millions of fans rushed to stream the 43 new tracks. Drake saw an 1,100% increase in simultaneous listeners on Apple Music.

But the numbers that truly matter? The streaming totals. And they are staggering.

*”Drake is one of the most versatile artists out there. These 3 albums have various styles of modern rap/hip-hop, rock, RnB, dancehall, house, reggae, pop and country.”* — X user

The Main Event: ICEMAN Streaming Numbers

First-Day Global Spotify Streams: 140.2 Million

The flagship album of the three, ICEMAN, pulled in a jaw-dropping 140.2 million streams on its opening day. That’s more than most artists’ albums achieve in an entire year.

This monumental figure instantly crowned ICEMAN as the biggest album debut of 2026 on Global Spotify. It also became the second-largest rap album debut in Spotify history

The only rap album with a bigger debut? Drake’s own Certified Lover Boy, which recorded 155 million first-day streams back in 2021.

“Make Them Cry” – 13.2 Million First-Day Streams

The opening track of ICEMAN“Make Them Cry,” debuted at No. 1 on Global Spotify with an incredible 13.219 million streams in a single day. On US Spotify alone, the track pulled nearly 6 million domestic plays.

But here’s where it gets interesting.

With those 13.2 million streams, Drake officially shattered the record for the biggest single-day Spotify streaming total for a hip-hop song

The previous record holder? His fierce rival, Kendrick Lamar, whose explosive diss track “Not Like Us” held the title with 12.8 million first-day streams.

Spotify Initially Overcounted – A Quick Correction

In the chaos of the massive release, Spotify’s initial numbers review process had a small hiccup. The platform originally reported even higher numbers for “Make Them Cry,” but later corrected the figures.

“The initial streams review process was completed manually, resulting in streams from two different album tracks being combined.” — Spotify statement

Even after the correction, the numbers remain record-breaking.

Billboard Projections

According to initial projections, ICEMAN is on pace to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with an estimated 480,000-520,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

If it hits No. 1, it will mark Drake’s 15th No. 1 album, further cementing his place as the most commercially successful rapper in chart history.

There’s even a possibility Drake could occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200 simultaneously with all three albums—a feat previously only achieved by Michael Jackson, though Jackson did it with existing albums. Drake would be the first to do it with three debuting projects.

Final Verdict

On May 15, 2026, Drake reminded the world why he’s called the 6God. A triple album surprise drop197 million first-day streams. A new hip-hop streaming record at the expense of Kendrick Lamar. And global domination across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

Love him or hate him, the numbers don’t lie. Drake is still the most streamed rapper on the planet.
