Jhené Aiko Reveals ‘Westside Whimsy’ Tracklist With Kendrick Lamar & More

Jhené Aiko Releases ‘Westside Whimsy’ Featuring Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul & More

Jhené Aiko has officially released her long-awaited fourth studio album, Westside Whimsy, bringing her first full-length project in six years to streaming platforms today.

Released on September 11, 2026, the 20-track album arrives with a stacked lineup of West Coast collaborators, including Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Larry June, Tyga and OHMA.

The album follows Aiko’s 2020 project Chilombo, marking a significant return for the Los Angeles singer-songwriter after a lengthy gap between studio albums.

Kendrick Lamar Joins Jhené Aiko on ‘So Good’

One of the biggest moments on Westside Whimsy is “So Good,” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

The collaboration appears at track 14 and reunites two artists with a history that stretches back more than a decade. Their previous collaborations include Kendrick’s “Growing Apart (To Get Closer)” and Jhené Aiko’s “Stay Ready (What A Life).”

Kendrick’s appearance adds another major West Coast connection to an album that leans heavily into California identity and culture.

The featured lineup brings together artists from across the West Coast hip-hop landscape, while Aiko remains at the centre of the project with 15 solo tracks.

Ab-Soul, Tyga, Larry June & OHMA

Elsewhere on the album, Ab-Soul appears on “Love Bomb,” Tyga joins “Like, Whatever,” Larry June appears on “Neighbors,” and OHMA closes the album alongside Aiko on “Golden Coast.”

The collaborations reinforce the California identity running through Westside Whimsy, with songs such as “Beach Boy” and “Golden Coast” further reflecting the project’s coastal aesthetic.

Aiko has also previously spoken about the influence of 1990s rap, R&B and soul on the album, alongside elements of California culture.

Six Years After ‘Chilombo’

Westside Whimsy arrives more than six years after Chilombo, which was released in 2020 and went on to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

That album earned Aiko three Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Progressive R&B Album.

Now, after years of anticipation, Aiko has officially opened a new chapter with Westside Whimsy.

The 20-track project gives listeners a mix of atmospheric R&B, soulful songwriting and West Coast hip-hop collaborations, while keeping Aiko’s distinctive voice at the centre.
