Kabza De Small and Mthunzi Dominate the 18th Metro FM Music Awards

In a resounding victory, Kabza De Small and Mthunzi secured four prestigious awards at the 18th Metro FM Music Awards, held in Mbombela, Mpumalanga. Their triumph encompassed recognition in key categories such as Best Produced Album, Best Collaboration, Best Amapiano, and Song of the Year. Their stellar contributions to the music scene were duly celebrated and acknowledged.

Additionally, the event saw the legendary Oskido and Boom Shaka being honored with lifetime achievement awards, commemorating their profound impact on South African music over the years.

Thami Ngubeni, a Metro FM Presenter, reflected on the significance of hosting the awards on Freedom Day, underscoring the progress made in the realm of music and opportunities available to young talents today compared to three decades ago.

Notable winners include Lwah Ndlunkulu, who clinched the coveted Artist of the Year award, and Makhadzi, recognized as the Best Female Artist. Furthermore, global sensation Tyla received the International ICON Award, while a poignant musical tribute honored the late Zahara.
