Old School R&B Brunch Announces South African Tour for October and November 2026
Old School R&B Brunch is bringing its global tour to Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town, with three events celebrating the R&B classics that defined the 1990s and early 2000s.
The old-school R&B soundtrack is coming back to the dance floor as Old School R&B Brunch returns to South Africa with three events across Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town from 24 October to 1 November 2026.
The international experience will kick off at The Villa in Durban on Saturday, 24 October, before heading to Maracanà in Johannesburg on Sunday, 25 October. The tour will conclude at Cabo Beach in Cape Town on Sunday, 1 November.
Running under the theme Heartbreak to High Notes, the South African leg celebrates the R&B anthems, slow jams and heartbreak classics that shaped a generation, bringing the music into a social experience built around singing along, dancing and reconnecting with familiar favourites.
More than a traditional brunch, the event combines DJ sets, live hosting, interactive games, audience participation and food, with the crowd playing a central role in the atmosphere. From nostalgic singalongs to dance-floor favourites, the format is designed for fans who grew up with the music and those discovering its influence today.
From London to a Global R&B Experience
Founded in London in 2019 by three friends, Old School R&B Brunch was created to give fans of 1990s R&B a dedicated space to celebrate the music and culture they grew up with.
The concept has since expanded into an international entertainment brand, reaching more than 120,000 guests across over 45 cities in more than 15 countries, according to the organisers. Its reach extends across markets including the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, Dubai, Australia, Japan and Africa.
The brand has also built a substantial social media audience, with more than 446,000 Instagram followers and 876,000 TikTok followers. Its TikTok content has generated over 10.8 million likes, reflecting the continued appeal of R&B nostalgia and the culture surrounding it.
The South African dates form part of the brand’s wider world tour, bringing its signature mix of music, food and audience-led entertainment to three of the country’s major cities.
