a powerful celebration that pays tribute to his legacy, the genre of Kwaito, and the emerging talents

The event will take place at the Eyethu Venue in Soweto, Mofolo, on 2 August 2025, and will not only
highlight Sbu Malawyer’s trailblazing career — which spans hits with Mashamplani and collaborations
with TKZEE — but will also bring together a lineup of iconic Kwaito and Amapiano artists. This
celebration is a cultural milestone, bridging generations through music, mentorship, and meaningful
performances.
Spearheaded by Malawyer Entertainment, the event forms part of a larger movement to honor 30 years
of Kwaito in South Africa and spotlight the genre’s ongoing impact on youth empowerment.

About Sbu Malawyer
Sbu Malawyer, born Sibusiso Ntshangase, is a celebrated South African Kwaito artist whose career spans over 25 years. Emerging in the late 1990s, he became a prominent figure in the Kwaito movement, known for his energetic performances and hits like “Amalawyer,” “Dlala Mapantsula,” and “Masimbela” .SNL24
