Toffie drops slapping theme song for R-rated Khaki Fever

Push play on the track that radio stations are saying is ’too hot to put on air’, the theme song for Showmax’s raunchy bushveld comedy, Khaki Fever. Written and performed by new kid on the block, Toffie, it’s living proof that Afrikaans is the most colourful language to paint with words in.

Toffie is an Afrikaans rapper straight outta Bellville. His beats slap like the 90’s — fat bass lines, dirty snares, and hooks that’ll make your ma blush. New to the SA music scene, Toffie got his first break after signing with Rothman Records and writing the title track for a new Showmax Original film, Khaki Fever, which follows a group of game rangers who challenge each other to see who can hook up with the most tourists during a season, with the winner raking in everyone’s tips – if they don’t get caught and fired first…

Toffie spits stories about chaos, liefde, strippers, khaki fever, and the k@k we don’t mention at Sunday lunch. He’s all about sexy times, parties, fast cars, and “engines wat raas.”

On his own music, Toffie says: “I make the Afrikaans tannies bloos, but they laaik it. Imagine David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson had a baby in the 90s series Baywatch — and that kid grew up to be a rapper. That’s what I want my music to sound like.”

With his debut single Khaki Fever out now, Toffie is storming the SA rap scene — and he’s already working on his second single, set to drop later this year. Push play on one of the links below and don’t forget to stream the 18SNL Khaki Fever  this Friday on Showmax to see what all the fuss is about.
